Our Introduction to Stock Picking is a guide for novice investors to help them start on the journey to becoming a good equity investor. It introduces some of the basic principles of investment and looks at some of the greats in investing. We discuss five experts, all of whom deployed very different investment styles yet all achieved stellar returns (and surprisingly similar absolute results). We also explore the Porter Five Forces methodology and discuss how that can be deployed in studying a company.
